Parent Visas

   are Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens, or more children live       in Australia than in any other single country.

•  Similar to Subclass 103, but with faster processing times.

•  Provides temporary residency for parents while awaiting processing of their permanent visa                 application.

•  Requires payment of a higher visa application charge than Subclass 103.

•  Designed for aged parents who meet the Australian aged pension age requirement.

•  Must meet the balance of family test.

•  Allows temporary residency while the permanent visa application is processed.

•  Requires payment of a higher visa application charge than Subclass 864.

•  Intended for aged parents who meet the Australian aged pension age requirement.

•  Must meet the balance of family test.

•  Allows parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live temporarily in Australia for extended periods.

•  Must be sponsored by their child who is a settled Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
